2 Quart Crock Pot

The 2 quart crock pot is a very small slow cooker but not smaller than a 1.5 quart crock pot and it is perfect if you live in an apartment with little free space or you simply want to cook just enough food for two person so that you don't end up wasting any food.

If you need a slightly bigger version, there is the 2-1/2-quart crock pot which gives you an extra 2 cups of cooking capacity. Since this is a fairly simple slow cooker, it is not programmable and you won't find any fancy functions either. However, most recipes seem to cook well in this size of crock pot despite it only has 2 heat settings.

Cooking in a 2 quart crock pot is most effective when you change the heat setting to high to high when cooking meats and then switch it back to low and let it cook as long as the recipe requires. Potatoes and carrots will be cooked to perfection and they will be tender if you follow the instructions of the recipe.
