Crock Pot Barbeque
Did you know that besides making soups and curries in your slow cooker, you can also use it to make crock pot barbeque too? It is actually very simple and depending on the recipes you're using, the whole cooking process can be pretty much automated.
Below are a couple of simple crock pot barbecue recipes which you can basically "set and forget". Just prepare the ingredients and add them into the slow cooker, cover, switch heat setting to low and let it cook for 8 hours. For the first recipe, you want to mix all the ingredients except the ribs in the blender first to make the sauce before pouring them over the ribs.
Recipe #1
- 4 country style ribs
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 3/4 cup catsup
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 bottle hot pepper sauce
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons salt
Recipe #2
- 3 lbs spare ribs
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 bottle barbeque sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- garlic powder to taste
Recipe #3
- 2 pounds beef, cubed
- 2 large onions, peeled and sliced
- 1 bottle barbeque sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
