Stoneware Crock Pot
Unlike non-stick crock pot which you have to be careful while cleaning it so that you don't damage the non-stick coating, a stoneware crock pot uses the same good old stoneware insert to cook your food automatically while you are away from home.
The insert of most of today's stoneware crock pots has a layer of stick-resistant and rinse-clean coating so cleaning up is just as easy as the non-stick version and perhaps even more flexible. The lid is made of tempered glass and you can see through it easily so this makes peeking at your food while it is cooking a simple task.
With a stoneware crock pot to help you with your daily cooking task, you can basically cook any healthy slow cooker food you fancy eating such as roast chicken, casserole, curry, pot roast or just a simple soup. Once the cooking part is done, you can easily lift the crock and use it as a serving dish on your dinning table.
As mentioned before, cleaning up by hand is really easy thanks to the stick-resistant coating on the removable crock so warm soapy water is suffient most of time. However, cleaning the heating unit or electric base requires a bit of manual work because you cannot simply put it in the dishwasher or immerse it in the water. Doing so will damage the unit permanently. The correct way to clean it would be to use a soapy cloth or rag and avoid using anything that is scratchy or abrasive.
